Day 866, "do you have a phone?"

I saw a girl walking with luggage. I couldn't see her face, so I didn't know her age, but it seemed odd.

Where was she going?

Where did she come from?

She said, "excuse me?" Her voice seemed young and sharp.

And I said, "Yeah."

"Do you have a phone?"

I wanted to help her out, but I didn't know what to do, so I answered her question, "not on me."

As I continued to run, I thought about all the different things I could have said or done to help her out. I decided that on my way back I would try to help her.

But she was gone.
