Day 4,581—Shocking Election Results and Rim to River Update—

Start time: 4:36 a.m.

I stayed up too late watching the results come in. I kept telling myself I would only stay up long enough to see Texas, but after Texas was called, I kept watching the results, and then I wanted to see Kansas come in. The biggest result that shocked me was in Missouri, where Wellman beat Ann Wagner! That’s the first time I have seen that seat go to a democrat in decades. I wonder if the Missouri governor had been up for election, the Democrat would have won there. I got up a little late, but I was generally excited to listen to some of the coverage about the election. I knew that this result was a prediction of possibilities, but it is still so shocking!

I got to go to work, but I am glad I was able to get a full 7 miles of running in! For whatever reason, this week my goal has been to run 7 miles each day, Monday through Friday. I don’t know what I want to run on this weekend, but I want to do something fun. Maybe I will run to the arch!

I spent a lot of time yesterday working on the video, and I plan to post it by this Saturday! I am also planning to post my complete write-up for the race with pictures by Saturday, if not earlier! It will include a lot of pictures that I haven’t posted yet!
