Day 2,847 —Something Else to Look at— with my PICTURE of SNOW on FURNITURE #631

I was unjustifiably exhausted considering I did not run a lot of miles today. Most of it I was running through compounded snow. On the plus side, I got some better pictures today, maybe some of the best I have taken in the snow in the past couple of years.

We don’t get too many opportunities here in the middle of the country to take pictures in the snow. Now that I have years of pictures to look back on. I would estimate it has only snowed between 1-3 times every year that I have lived here.

Some of the older generation I work with (I am the youngest person in my office), told me that there was an intense storm in the early 80s. They said that school was closed for two weeks.

I would get tired of the snow if it was like this all the time because I prefer variety. Everyone says they love Hawaii, California, and Florida, but I find the weather there to be too much of the same.

When I was growing up, I remember thinking that New York and California were the “It” places to go to be someone. Yet so many feted people stayed put and found ways to love and celebrate where they were born. I am that type of person.
