Day 3,411—4 Days until the Shawnee Hill 100—
It is my third day without coffee, and I am feeling fine! It is weird how when you give something up that you literally did every day before, it still doesn’t take much time to get used to the absence, which isn’t the same as not noticing at all, but right now I don’t really understand why I love coffee so much and would look forward to drinking it while writing this before going off to work. Today, I am sipping on coconut water, and I am thinking of the next time I plan to drink coffee.
It will be, hopefully, after dark. Maybe even as late as 10 p.m.! I will go on running as long as I can before I feel myself starting to lose track of time. Where am I? I will put some in my cooler, but if I don’t make it before, then I might find some at an aid station.
Today I ran in a long-sleeved shirt and pants with my vest and my water. It still took a little over a mile before I started getting tired of carrying this thing and felt my face get hot, even though the sun had yet to rise.
