Day 3,528 —Late Last Night—

I am still getting over something, so I am okay with having a light week. My wife asked me concernedly yesterday, “But what about your training for the Shippey?” I did a 100-mile run two weeks ago and a 72-mile trail run 6 weeks before that. It’s not like I am not going to keep training, but I feel confident about where I am today.

I kept thinking I would get to a point where I would just go lie down unprompted, but I was busy watching one or both of my children most of the day. Only briefly, when I was sleeping while sitting, did I even feel inclined to go to bed.

But, today I immediately noticed the difference, and I am starting to experience time the same way again. On a day like yesterday, time goes by both fast and slowly. I’ll not be able to remember what I did, but whenever I look at my watch, it is a good 4 hours earlier than I thought.
