Day 3,600 —Reading Minds—

The worst thing is when people assume the worst of you without ever talking to you about it to even give the idea a chance that they could be wrong. It is like they live in a different world with different reference points. To them, up is down, left is right, and to begin is to end. I get along with most people I interact with, and when people don’t like me, it doesn’t usually intrude on my thinking, but when people fundamentally misunderstand me, it just confuses me.

I understand when people are upset with me when I do something wrong, but when they accuse me of doing the right thing with the wrong intentions, I am just puzzled. Why would anyone assume they can read minds? We can only know what people do, not why they do it.
