Day 3211 —Running in the Moonlight—

Today was a bit of a struggle to squeeze in a run because my daughter had all sorts of outdoor plans. I did manage to get a mile in earlier, but I was still planning on running more. I was pretty shocked to find out I came in third place in yesterday's race. There were only two people who beat me, and I remember passing both of them at some point. The teacher I ran the fifth lap with ended up winning the whole thing with a whopping 10 laps! I definitely think I could've done 10 laps too, but I'm feeling pretty good today so I must have made the right call. The runner who beat me was just crushing it with a steady pace the whole time, and I'm so happy for them.

But I feel good today, so that is confirmation I made the right decision about slowing down and enjoying the evening yesterday if I had pushed it to do more, I am sure I would be still feeling it right now. Next, I think I am going to do a 24-hour race in March. I’ve never done one before, so I am excited to see what I can do.
