Day 3,627 —Two Weeks until the Race—
It was warm enough for me to wear shorts. I hope the weather is like this during the race. I know it can be cold in the morning sometimes in the first week of April, thinking about how I am usually running the Go! St. Louis Marathon, the first weekend of April. I don’t know why, but the marathon moved for the first time to the last weekend of April, so I am finally able to do both the Ozark Foothills and the Go! Joel told me yesterday that we had run some Ozark Foothills trail last year in a race.
I didn’t know that was part of the race, but it feels good to have done some of the trails before. I don’t think I will run any more trails now before the race, but I feel good about my trail training. I was able to run 80 miles at Lone Elk in the past three weekends (27+40+13). Sometimes I train more for races, but I feel good about this season’s training. Now, my goal will be to be able to stretch every day. That, and hopefully, my right-hand finishes healing.
