Day 3,631 —Hair Cut—
I feel more mentally prepared for the race now that my hair is short and isn’t hindering my eyesight. I keep thinking about how different this year is compared to most years when I am thinking about the GO St. Louis Marathon; it looks like it is going to be a great weekend for the Ozark Foothills. It is still early, so things can change but I have not seen a temperature lower than the 40s if we get high enough it will be colder, so I think I will plan to have a change of clothes to go into long sleeves if I feel so compelled and take off my vest. Don’t love running in a vest, but still seems the best option when it comes to time and efficiency around hydration.
This morning, I felt good navigating around the broken sidewalks and mud on the ground. My street is still being worked on, and it is becoming more and more difficult to walk to my front door. They also took out several areas in front of my house and placed orange cones to make it almost impossible when traveling with a stroller and two young children. But, no such problems in the morning, bouncing around the cracks and uneven roads like it was a clay track.
