Day 3076 —First day of Fall— with a PICTURE of a BRIDGE over the HIGHWAY
I saw one young deer (a fawn?) running around by itself. A moment later I saw the mom dear (the do) going the wrong direction looking for her lost child. I tried to help and told her that I had seen a fawn only about 50 yards to the left, but she kept going straight and to the right.
I went out still thinking about the recent robbery and arrest that happened this week on my street. There is nothing I can do about it, but it is still disconcerting. I am glad I know my neighbors and that we talk about these things.
I am getting antsy for a long run. The weather
is so nice and fall like all I can think about is Halloween and jacket weather
and beginnings (that’s why I love fall so much because for a teacher (and a
student), fall is always about something new).
And I have so many new things in my
life to be thankful for.
