Day 2,481 —Taking Pictures— (with pictures of sunrises and birds)

I have been taking pictures every day since May 8, 2020, and somedays it is challenging to find a shot that I like, but most days it is a welcomed distraction from thinking about other things. I am especially grateful when I edit ones that I took last year that I completely forgot about (look at my blog to see some of my best).  

It is hard to shoot in low light. I could bring a tiny tripod, but still this camera doesn’t like to take long exposure. It is possible I can figure out how to make it take a picture for a couple of seconds, but so far it seems to only shoot as long as a half a second. I wish there was an override where I could change the setting, so I only shoot in manual. It is amazing how few cameras let you just shoot in manual. I love low light color photography but without proper long exposure all the colors end up bleeding into each other, and I don’t get the focus I want.  

Then again, limitations have always brought out creativity in me, so the more I work at it the better I am going to get, so I am going to keep grinding.
