Day 2,996 —another Sunday Run— with a PICTURE of SUN and SMOKE #768

The breeze made it almost chilly as I started out. I was thinking I would fit in 20, but my loop was over earlier than I expected. I thought it was ten to the end of the trail, but it ended up being nine.

Twice I saw my average lap pace slow down significantly like I had been walking. I am sure it didn’t make much of a difference, but it felt punitive at the time. Now, I am making excuses. It was an incredibly nice day, and I felt strong and light for most of the run. I ran only holding my camera. Only stopping to drink water. My strategy was to carry no water, but drink so much it hurts when I stop.
