Day 3,005 —Labels— with a PICTURE of a GEESE and its GOSLINGS #777

Ever meet someone in a band when they were younger? If you asked them what kind of music they played, they might say something like, “I don’t know. I try not to think of labels or genres. We kind of sound like AC/DC meets the Eagles if that helps.”

It is hard to be open about something when you classify it. But I understand the need.

When you label something, you can control it. You can decide on how to respond ahead of time and make a protocol to not allow yourself to make a mistake in the moment.

I get why people feel the need to label things, but it makes it impossible for one to live in the present.
