Day 3,315 —Feels like Friday—

I got up to go hold my baby because he would not stop crying, and my wife had just finished feeding him. When I went to go run, I was already feeling tired, thinking about the day, and wondering how much or little I will be able to do.

I stopped and sat on a bench during my run. I was sitting still, focusing on my breathing, when I looked up to see a deer walking slowly about 50 paces from me in the woods. She looked at me for a moment and then kept walking. Another female deer and several young deer followed. They moved slowly and stopped on occasion and looked at me. I stopped keeping track. Now, I was listening to the birds. What were they talking about? They seem if not angry but trying to make a point.

I realized I was falling asleep when I noticed a white possum moving swiftly in the opposite direction of the deer.
