Day 3,319 —9th Overall at the Berryman—

I was not as slow as I first thought. The two people close to me were about 20 minutes ahead of me, and the person behind me was about 15 minutes, so I was in a good spot. If I had done better with my pacing and hydration, I might have shaved off some time. Yet, considering where everyone’s time was, I am happy overall. The first-place person was way ahead of me, but the second one was around 10 hours. I still think I can do this race in 10 hours, but I need to take it seriously and plan next time.

I enjoyed today’s run and felt good: I loved sitting in my spot and practicing being still. I was thinking that I hope my finger heals soon, and  I need to train more on trails leading up to my next trail race.
