Day 4,344—1 Run until TK 100 and Last Day before Spring Break!—
I was so excited yesterday that I had a hard time lying down. I stretched and meditated at the end of the night yesterday and fell asleep on the floor. I love that spring break is starting, and I am traveling to Alabama. This will be my longest drive for a 100-mile run yet! But because I am going to Florida in July, I know that I will have a longer one soon. I am still trying to decide where I want to go in June. I think I have mostly decided, but I have held off on registering yet. I think I recently signed up for a waitlist, but I don't remember for what race. It was a long shot that I would get in.
There were so many different things that I was thinking about yesterday that it takes me a moment to remember them, but I feel good today. I am not sure why exactly this change in my mood. It was so cold this morning! I had to wear a jacket. I checked the weather for the race, and it still appears to be mostly favorable. It will be cold at night, so I need to make sure to have a hat, gloves, and some long-sleeved shirts packed, but nothing unusual. We’re planning on camping, and it looks like thunderstorms on Sunday night, but we will figure it out. Maybe we'll want to leave early and stay at a hotel on the way back instead, but I am confident it is going to be a fun trip. I am glad I am going with Travis because doing this one by myself does sound mentally exhausting. I am still excited about the other ones I will do by myself, but it is always more fun to go with another runner. Let me know if you’re interested in doing a race in late May or early June with me. It would be great if I could go with someone to the Rim to River 100 in West Virginia, but I am so excited about that race, regardless of the complications of travel. At least I will be done with school by then!
