Day 2,540 —Be Impeccable with Your Word— (with the Sky and a Fall Tree)
I have been reading the Four Agreements, and I have been trying to actively think about them more. This one was difficult to think of in practice because how the word impeccable is used the meaning didn’t make sense. I think of a sword being impeccable, or a good book can be impeccable, but my word should be impeccable?
What I think it means is to be careful and deliberate with what you say. Consider what you say to others to have great value. You can either help or hurt everyone you encounter with your word, so don’t be careless or feckless be impeccable.
My running today took me to my nephew’s soccer game. I was so glad I caught some of it. I got to visit with my mom, my dad, and my brother’s family. I even met a couple that was active in their local running club. They were telling me about it.
My nephew is so impressed with my running. He still a little kid, so they are easily impressed. After I told him, it had only taken me four miles to get there.
He told me, “the farthest I have gone is only 4!” I told him that is more than I ever did at his age, and in that way, he was already ahead of me.
I am looking forward to the Go St. Louis next week! And I signed up for a 67-mile run that is on the Katy Trail on June 4th (it is really a relay, but they have a solo division). I am pumped to do some real races finally.
