Day 3,370 —the Heat is Real—

I didn’t bring any water just my vest and that was probably a mistake. I decided to try to train what sometimes happens during a race. The scenario is that I am out of water, and I have about 4 miles until the next aid station. Usually what happens is I run too fast and end up getting even more dehydrated, and I must walk. This time I tried to pace myself better and walk some earlier to prevent a longer recovery time. It’s always weird whenever I make it to the place with the liquids I never drink as much as I planned. Right now, I haven’t even consumed 24 ounces of water yet, but I am pacing myself.

I passed Scott who I work with. He was driving up Gravois. Whenever someone honks and waves, I wonder how often people see me and recognize me, and don’t honk or wave.
