Day 3,499—Running the Straights, Leaping the Curbs —

Finally, I got some sleep, and my shoulder and arm are feeling the best they have felt in a month. I wanted to keep going faster as I began to struggle to keep breathing through my nose. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky, and leaves crunched under my footsteps. I saw a couple riding bikes together. They were going slow. They were taking their time.

I saw a woman running in a blue vest. She was moving steadily. She wasn’t going anywhere fast. I saw a man with sunglasses and a light beard. He was riding a bike. He was determined to keep his head down.

I kept trying to stand up straight and keep my head looking straight, but I could feel myself getting out of position, I could see each step right there before me, and I knew I wasn’t going to miss.
