Day 3,848 —Not a Phantom—

I used to love to eat eggs and would frequently make a big breakfast of eggs and hash browns. I don’t crave it a lot, but today I ran to the store and bought the fake eggs stuff and hash browns and beyond sausages.

When I was in the store, a guy started shouting at me, I couldn’t tell what he was saying, but I instinctively walked quicker and didn’t look behind me. It always scares me when people approach me that I don’t know. When this guy was closer, he said, “Do you go running a lot?”

I was in my running clothes now, so it seemed he knew the answer, but I nodded and said, “Yeah, I run every day.”

“Because I see you all the time.”

When I was explaining the interaction later, I thought how this guy might have thought I was some figment of his imagination. He sees me day after day. How is it possible he could see the same guy so many times? Then, he sees me at the store. Finally, I have a chance to confirm if I am a real person or not. Whatever the reason, it was an interesting exchange and made me wonder about all the other people who might see me regularly running by the side of the road.
