Day 3,850 —The first 8 Minutes—
It was difficult to be motivated to open the door and start my run, knowing it was raining, and I would inevitably get wet. The start of the run was miserable, but at least it wasn’t cold, and it wasn’t raining so much that I was having a hard time seeing. I thought about how long it would take before it started being fun, and I stopped noticing the rain. It was almost exactly 8 minutes, and by that time I was running down a hill. Looking at, the lights from the four lanes of traffic reflect off the puddles on the ground.
I was going downhill, hopping from one dry surface to another, thinking about tomorrow, and thinking about next week. Only 4 runs until R2R2R!
