Day 3,857 —Good to be Home: a Sheep not a Goat—
My wife and kids were asleep when I got home, so this morning I gave everyone their present. For my daughter a book about camping, for my son a sheriff’s badge, and for my wife a magnet. I also got three postcards from the bottom of the Canyon, so every one could have one.
At first, my daughter wasn’t interested in the book or the postcard, but within the next 15 minutes I read her the book twice, and my son wanted me to read it to him.
I spent the morning editing my writing from yesterday. I looked up information about sheep v. goats in the canyon and the article I found seemed to suggest that they were not goats in the canyon, so even though my sheep didn’t look like any sheep I had seen before because the horns were not that thick, it must have been. Sheep keep the same horns their whole lives, so maybe the one I saw was young.
I took everyone through the trip via the videos I had sorted yesterday on the plane. It shouldn’t take that long to make the video for this one, but some of the pictures I transferred to my computer I just noticed are of poor quality, so I might need to go back and edit some pictures.
I went through a lot of the edits on the car ride back to the airport, but my contacts were getting dry, and my vision was getting blurry, so I am afraid I wasn’t as aware of how much it was impacting how I was editing the pictures.
Still, so happy to be home and get some work done. I loved spending time in the Canyon, but it is always good to be running on my home streets.
