Day 3,849 —My Favorite Holiday—
So many weekends leading up to today, I had been checking my calendar to see if it was this weekend that would be daylight savings time. I checked my sleep app this morning and for the first time, it showed my sleep last night at 90 percent, which might be why I was so motivated to clean this morning. I didn’t feel like running, nor was I that into it when I started; it was an odd day, and I was more motivated by everything I needed to do at home.
I liked being home with my daughter and son. I bought Mario Wonder for us to play together and that’s what we did this morning before my daughter helped me pick up the house. She did a great job of picking up trash when I was vacuuming and attempting to dust some. Sometimes, I am compelled to try to clean as much as possible in a short time.
My brother was asking me what vest to buy this morning. I am so excited to be running in the Grand Canyon in less than a week. It is going to be great! I don’t know how the election is going to turn out, but I know that I am going to have a great time spending all day outside running in the Grand Canyon. It has been a while since I have been there, but I still remember being there as a kid, not sure what to say. I loved Niagara Falls too, and those are probably the top two places I have ever been. I am thinking of other places I have gone to in different countries, but those places don’t compare to the wonder you feel as a kid seeing something like either of those places. I can hear how loud the waterfall was, and I can remember the feeling of getting lost in the emptiness of the Grand Canyon, just staring out forever. I was twelve, running around the edge, not sure where to look. I cannot wait to be there at night and see what the stars look like.
