Day 3,873 —Home Today—
I was about to leave for my run when my daughter walked downstairs and wanted to talk to me. I decided to show her pictures and videos of the Arch because I hadn’t yet taken her up in it, but I wanted to ensure she was ready. She liked the video and everything up until the elevator took everyone back down, but she was interested in the first picture of the Aquarium, and I had never taken her to Union Station before, so it was decided.
During this run I had an encounter with an angry dog that lives across the street, I feel so bad for this dog because it gives off that anxious energy like she knows something is about to go down. I talked to the dog and smiled, but it turned away from me and acted like it forgot what it was doing. A moment later she was barking again, but as soon as I turned my face she shrank back. The next dog I passed smiled and tried to run with me. I am not sure how much I am going to be able to run tomorrow, but it would feel good to do more than the 9 miles from the two races.
