Day 4,215—Closing in on Winter—

 

        I could see the deer sleeping in the tall grass when I went to run past. There was another one standing up and staring at me. You would think that with daylight savings time in effect that it would seem to get lighter earlier. So far, that has not been the case, but we will see. Maybe the sun will start to rise as I drive into work this morning. 

I am happy with all the progress I made with the video and the write-up about the run yesterday. It just makes me think that I need to decide about doing a race next month. Right now, I am close to deciding to run the Hitchcock experience. I was close to signing up when I first looked a few months ago. My dream of running over Thanksgiving doesn't look like it’s a possibility, but that’s okay. I will still have fun then. I couldn’t help but think about how much I need to let my body recover at this point. It is so difficult to rest in my house with my cats and kids.
