Day 4,238—First Turkey Trot—
My 6-year-old daughter came home with a medal yesterday for a Turkey Trot she had participated in at school. I was excited for her but also miffed that I had missed her first race. When I asked her about it, she said she wasn’t sure how long it had lasted, and that she had walked and run around an area for a while. She said some kids didn’t do it. She loves to run, and when she gets older, I look forward to running the Kirkwood/Webster Turkey Trot with her.
I couldn’t enjoy my days off yesterday and on Monday because I had class last night and a project to complete, but now everything is done. I stayed up too late last night, taking a bath and eating baked potatoes. I saw a place yesterday that does acupuncture, which is next to the Big River in University City. I went there looking for another pair of glasses because I still cannot find mine, but they didn’t have anything close to what I wanted. I did buy some new gloves. They were expensive, but the pair I am wearing like that has holes. How do I have so many pairs of gloves but still scramble to find a pair most mornings? This morning it was cold, but I didn’t want to wear a long-sleeve shirt, so I wore my running leggings with a hat and gloves. I had already kind of decided to wear shorts for the next few days.
