Day 2,754 —the Coldest Day so Far— with my PICTURE of BROKEN CONCRETE

It was 31 degrees Fahrenheit when I started so I took longer than usual to get ready. I tried to push myself a little at the start just to warm up some, but it really was not too bad, and I stopped thinking about the cold once I passed the Walmart and doubled back around.

Feeling thankful that we will gain an hour this weekend and content with how things are going, I tried not to think too much about the 100-mile run. Part of me is secretly freaking out about it, but I know that is not the most helpful approach.

My training was not all bad. I did complete the 72-mile run and ran a couple of times at night. I think what hurt me was the lack of sleep and desire to push myself in that area to train for the run. Now, I am still struggling to get enough sleep, which is ultimately affecting my training.
