Day 2,776 —The Tradition Continues— with my PICTURE of a BEE and his FLOWER 3

I thought I was parking two miles from the start of the Turkey Trot, but it ended up being more like 1.3 miles. I had debated running to the start from my house but decided against it.

Everyone seems to take the race so seriously. I hear conversation about what time people are trying to get. Those ten-minutes before the race I started thinking about what time I was trying to get in the race.

I ended up going faster than I would have thought not running that fast in a while, not that I was fast, but a different run than the 100-mile run two weeks ago without a doubt, and I like this one because you get to do 9 miles on a familiar course in a festive atmosphere.

I like seeing all the families that run the race together. I plan to run this one with my daughter in a couple of years. Happy Thanksgiving!
