Day 2,919 —Someone Else— with a PICTURE of FROZEN FOLIAGE #704

I went over to Heege hill because a guy I ran with yesterday called me over right before I was about to leave to tell me that he created that segment. I first thought I must still have the local legend there, but he told me for sure that I didn’t. I felt bad because I wasn’t trying to claim anything. I was just trying to understand how he knew who I was, but we probably just run a lot of the same segments, so he has seen my name come up before. 

It was just the way he said, “Wait, you are Daniel Virtue?” I thought he was going to tell me something. It always feels strange when people ask you if you are who you are. 

There is always so much skepticism in their voice, “You? Are Daniel Virtue?” 

What do they expect me to say? “No, I am just pretending to be Daniel Virtue. I am actually someone else entirely.”
