Day 3262 —More of a Bike Day—

I had promised myself that I would attempt a 50-mile bike ride during Spring Break, but every day was filled with more pressing tasks, and I had yet to realize my dream of a long bike ride. Today, I decided to trade my running time for bike time and ended up doing only half of what I had planned. However, it was a lot of fun, and I felt faster, even though I am still very slow. I do need to get a better bike seat, but the option of sitting is still new to me, so I stood up more than I have in the past.

    The flooding in my basement continued through the morning, and my wife's parents came up to help clean the carpet and get rid of some of the excess water. Although someone was supposed to come and take a look at the root issue this morning, they got delayed due to the flooding and just arrived.    

    While I didn't get to do every thing, I wanted to during Spring Break, I still managed to do most of it, and the bike ride was a lot of fun. I am grateful for the amount of time I was able to spend with my daughter and wife. I am looking forward to the marathon although I am also worried that my wife might go into labor before or during it. Am I just going to have to move fast if it is during? Maybe, I will need to run this one while carrying my phone.
