Day 3264 —Staying Present—

A cat was in the trees, so I stopped to say hi, but she stayed far away from me, and I could see her shiny green eyes. Whenever I notice a cat's green eyes reflecting in the dark, I think about how everyone was so scared of the woods for such a long time, believing deeply that devils were about. Yet, if I were to hold a lantern while walking around the woods and start noticing different colored eyes looking back at me, I would be scared too.

I have a premonition that the birth of my new child will prevent me from running the Go! St. Louis this weekend, but I will write that story tomorrow.
