Day 3,693—Day 3: Adventures in Summer Domesticity—

I did some homework for my class on Solution-Focused Therapy. I was thinking as I was running that I needed something to write about each day. Every morning recently has been a struggle because I lack an outline, a routine, and a roadmap. I often write about what I am reading, watching, or thinking about, but I am ready for something different.

Part 1: a Toddler, an Infant, and 3 Cats
Feeding the cats at 5:30 a.m.
Tried to do homework at 6 a.m.
Daughter wakes up and says she is hungry.
Son wakes up, screams, and points.
6:30 a.m. holding son while doing homework.
6:31 a.m. son screams, gets down, and tries to sit on the cat.

I like this idea. My goal will be to create a narrative for the different things that happen with my family each week. They both do so many funny things every day that it is hard to keep track of them. We went to the Botanical Gardens together on Tuesday. I remember my daughter trying to run from me. I thought it was an accident, but when I caught up to her, she said, “awwwaw, you caught me!”
