Day 3,711—Night Run: Avoiding the Sun—

My face was sunburned this morning, not to the point where I was going to peel, but it did make me wait to start my run. I only slept 4 hours last night, and I didn’t feel like starting my day running.

As the day prolonged, I started thinking that the Dark 2 Dawn is this Saturday, and it would probably help to do some runs at night this week. So, I waited until after I put my daughter to bed to go out.

I immediately felt sluggish, and even though it was cooler without the sun, the humidity was intense. But I kept wanting to stop and take pictures. It was so scenic outside. I saw some ducks in the pond that is behind Gold's Gym. And when I was running on the 1-mile trail, I saw fireflies floating around the small creek. There were also some deer out. It was peaceful outside. Even though there were still cars zooming about, for whatever reason, they seemed quieter in the dark.
