Day 3,712—Night Run II: Water in the Street—

I saw so many deer and two cats. I scared one of them, and it went sprinting in the other direction. The other one moved away slowly and looked over at me, but wasn’t interested. The deer I saw were lying down in the grass, so I could only see their ears poking up out of the foliage.

I liked not having to think about running for most of the day, and then I was looking forward to running after I was done putting my daughter to bed. I still felt tired and sluggish, but I kept my pace easy. Yesterday, I felt like my watch was saying I was a lot slower than I felt I was running. Today, I have accepted how different my pace feels at night.  I am starting to look forward to the Dark 2 Dawn. My goal is not to be miserable. Sometimes I am looking forward to a race, but then I get there, and I am a couple laps in, and I just  miserable and want to go home. I would prefer if that not happen this time.
