Day 3,914 —Animal Tracks—

It is a little exhausting to run in the snow. And, yesterday I was out for hours shoveling snow, so maybe I am just a little more tired than usual.

I saw some big tracks; they were probably from a dog going across the train tracks, most of the tracks looked like deer, but I cannot be sure. I would love to be the kind of person who knows animals by their tracks and knows the names of trees by looking at their leaves, but I am not there yet, but maybe in another life.

I was taking pictures with a real camera today, and it was so much easier to take it from my pocket snap a few, and then move on. My phone wasn’t charging last night and told me there was water detected, so I probably shouldn’t take it outside with me for a couple of days.

Watson was all ice, and I wouldn’t want to drive on it. The Walmart parking lot was also iced over, which seemed odd that so many of the other parking lots were completely clear, like the plasma center, which looked like it was operating normally.

I am working from home today, my daughter got another snow day, but she wanted to do some schoolwork this morning.

I saw someone running in shorts and a T-shirt. It was in the single digits this morning, but I felt okay in the cold. I have remembered to always use a hood whenever I go outside, and I think that helps a lot more than I would have thought.

It is so dangerous now to run on certain roads because there is nowhere to run on the shoulder anymore, but the streets are bare, and cars are moving normally. I wonder how much longer the snow will be on the ground. It looks like most of it will be here until Thursday at least.
