Day 3,939 —So this is what Fascism Looks like—

Ever wonder what would have happened if Charles Lindbergh had become president? It would have looked like this. If you didn’t know, he hated Jewish people and thought the Nazis were great. He wanted the US to join them and probably could have run and won the presidency had the kidnapping of his child not happened, but that’s just how things work out sometimes. Philip Roth wrote a whole book about the idea, but most people have no idea how close we were to joining Germany and fighting on the side of the Nazis. It is hard to think about anything else. 

When there are immigrants at my schools being harassed and each day more news comes out talking about another right that was taken away, and another government agency taken over by nothing but Trump loyalists. 

This is not about what political party you affiliate yourself with. This is not about your church or your social circles. This is about the difference between right and wrong. I am so naïve. 

I thought people could tell the difference: I was so wrong, again.
