Day 3,938 —Cold and Wet—
It was so nice yesterday around 4:30 p.m., so I took my family to the park. I wish it were like that now, but it was about 10 degrees colder and the rain didn’t help. It’s funny how accurate the weather is on the rain now. It tells you precisely how many minutes it will likely rain, which wasn’t helpful this morning. It looked like it rained only long enough to be consistent during my run, but it is letting up now.
I like the way everything looks when it is raining. The colors are saturated, and you see the added colors from the light reflect and bend, bouncing off every corner of the streets.
I didn’t like being cold and running by cars that splashed me, like I was in some poorly written movie. If only I had a suitcase with a bunch of important papers that could be strewn about the streets as everyone walked past.
