Day 3,934 —Running to the Pharmacy—
I was hoping I would be able to post the video yesterday, but when I watched it with my family, the audio was still distracting at times, so I needed to go back through the whole thing at least one more time. This morning I watched the edited version, but it was still off at the end, so I figured one more time.
Now, it is up and done! And I can start working more exclusively on my other stuff, more specifically so that I can do my field placement for school counseling in the fall.
I ran to CVS this morning to get my TB screening started. It is only a quarter of a mile away from my house, but it still was easier than driving. After that, I wanted to run to get my medication from Walgreens, but the pharmacy didn’t open until 10 a.m., so I decided to take the long way around, over into Webster Groves through Kirkwood, and back on the Greenway trail to the Walgreens in Webster.
There was no one in line at the pharmacy when I got there, but it still took 5 minutes until someone was willing to look for my medication. Have pharmacies always been like this? Is there just no right time to go to the pharmacy?
This morning I wanted to write about my recovery and reflection on the race, but I like being mostly done with the race stuff right now. Maybe I will go back and add it tomorrow.
I saw the guy who I started running with more than 10 years ago over at CVS. He isn’t running anymore, but I will always remember doing regular long runs with him while training for my second marathon.
I felt so tired yesterday, so I wasn’t sure how much I would want to do today, but these 10 just went down like a cold beer on a nice day, refreshing while at the same time, I am a little light-headed now. Now, I keep thinking about how I probably should try to recruit people to help me with the 200-mile race in April because my dad is going to be out of town, and it would be better if I had a few people to help.
Let me know your thoughts on the video! I know it isn’t perfect, but I think it is better than the last ones I have done.
