Day 3,949 —River Routes—

Part of me thought about how I should do a lot today because if I am going to start simulating the 200-mile run, I need to do at least 3 long days together. I am not sure when I should do a run like that, but part of me was thinking about something like starting with a 20, the next 30, and finally a 50-mile run as a way to start to simulate the feeling of doing 200 miles. I still haven’t figured out my split yet for miles, maybe something like 60,60,60, and 20. I will have 4 days to run, so possibly I should go in with the plan to sleep each night and only focus on completing six laps on the first three days.

I was thinking more about the three rivers idea yesterday after I got done running. I spent a lot of time looking at a map and wondering if it would be possible for me to cross over the Missouri River instead of the River Des Peres.

I will probably cross the River Des Peres anyway, but while at one time it might have been more of an actual River, now it mainly collects rain and isn’t a body of water that you would ever see anyone on a boat, and so because no one is on the River Des Peres with a boat, it makes a lot more sense to try to cross the Missouri River; however, the Missouri River is probably at least 20 or 25 miles from my house, so it would not be easy to start a three river run there. I know different spots to cross the other two rivers already; even though I don’t cross the Mississippi often, there are a few different bridges I could take over the river.
