Day 3,953 —Cannot Find one of my Buckles—
“I need to tell you something!” My daughter said. “Today is Valentine's Day, right, does that mean that today is all about love?”
“Yeah, I think so.”
“I need to tell you something!”
“Go ahead.”
“Did you know that ‘Val’ means love, so is that why today is all about love?”
“That makes sense.”
She is so funny. I told her I was missing one of my buckles, and she hugged me and told me happy Valentine's Day. I gave her a vegan Reese’s and asked if she had seen one of my belt buckles. She said she would look for it for me.
I went upstairs and saw my son still in bed, and he looked up when I was getting dressed. It was still dark, but I could still see his smile, so big that it almost doesn't fit on his face. I smile too. I look back at him.
“Hug?” He says and walks closer to me, and when I go to hug him, he crawls away laughing: he thinks he is hysterical.
