Day 3,958 —Recovering II—

At almost a 11 last night, I got the email letting me know there would be no school today. Part of me was surprised, but part of me wasn’t considering how low attendance had been in so many of the buildings, regardless, it meant I would be able to try to get some sleep, so I did.

I am still not 100 percent, but I waited a while before trying this run, and I felt fine. It was cold, and there was more snow on the ground, but that was fine with me. What annoyed me was the cars still cut through the neighborhood, but maybe the traffic will make it easier to drive on the road. No one has plowed our street, and it is going to be still cold tomorrow.

Part of me hoped I could do more, but I am still getting tired easily. It is so exhausting to be sick, but still so thankful for the day and being able to do a couple more.

I couldn’t help but think about all the federal workers losing their jobs over the weekend. Trump fired the response team that would have saved millions of lives during the COVID-19 epidemic, just like he is doing now. If you know someone who died during COVID-19, there is a big chance they wouldn’t have if Donald Trump hadn’t been elected president, and still people voted for him in 2024!? And still, he is doing the same thing exactly according to his Project 2025 plan, to dismantle the government, so he can steal more money from US citizens. So many Trump supporters testified that he was unfit for office because of this, and still, people voted for him?! These were respected people who worked with him for years, but people thought they knew better?! I guess people still supported Napoleon even after he was imprisoned, but Napoleon was actually good at something.
