Day 3,966 —the Five Still Looks Off—
I went back to the new subdivision by the cemetery and ran down the hill as fast as I could. I decided against going through the mud today, so I ended up backtracking, but I felt good. I bought new shoes this week, and they feel okay. They’re a different pair of Altras, but I cannot say I feel like they’re that different from my other ones. I bought them mainly because they were the cheapest Altras in my size and were moderate support.
I keep writing the date, but I cannot say that 25 looks right every time I look at it. I keep thinking of other things I want to write about, but my mind keeps splitting into different directions. This is why I should write closer to when I run. I was just observing an elementary gym class, and it went from being so uplifting as a bunch of 6 and 7-year-olds told me about how much fun they had at the Magic House to trying to help a couple of kids calm down who were crying, the story of my life.
Now, I am thinking I missed my chance for writing about going to the park with Felix and Vivian this week.
