Day 3,952 —10 Years (11)—

 

I was moving slow this morning and did another easy day. I cannot say I feel good about my short week, but I have been feeling like I could be sick, and with everyone else being sick; I don’t see how I can keep going like I have been going and not acknowledge what it will do to me. I am glad there wasn’t ice on the ground this morning, and I didn’t have to get my chains for my shoes out.

I got a wooden box today to commemorate my 10th work anniversary. My boss e-mailed me yesterday about it, but I was so confused because I hit 10 years last year, and there are so many other people in my office who have been here longer. I got a wooden box with pens, and it says, “Saint Louis Public Schools, 10 years of Service.” And a certificate of appreciation. I joked with my coworkers how I might put it away and never see it again, but I appreciated that I got something.
