Day 4,059 —Last year today, Donald Trump was Convicted of a Felony—
I just saw what I wrote a year ago today, and it blew my mind how many things have changed in a year. Last year, I was writing about how insane it was that the corrupt Missouri politicians were suggesting somehow Donald Trump's crimes were part of collusion by Democrats. Now, Trump is pardoning well-known criminals as well as committing more crimes against individuals and organizations and attacking scientists, librarians, and historians, as well as immigrants and minorities. Every day, a new group is targeted and wronged by him and his cronies, and I know people who voted for him. I suppose some people genuinely want to be misled, regardless of the facts. And yet, I am always the bad guy for pointing out the hypocrisy. Donald Trump is nothing like Jesus.
Right now, every time I go to the grocery store, prices have been raised. The stock market continues to be in a slump, and yet I am hearing so few Trump supporters change their stance. It is like they take pride in supporting something, so clearly factually, morally, ethically, and legally wrong.
I ran to the grocery store again because my daughter wanted eggs (vegan eggs). I was blown away by the price of vegan eggs and plant-based everything. Even the smoothie I usually get went up a dollar last week.
I wanted to keep writing about my grandmother with her passing, but it has been difficult.
The RV Trip
I think I was eleven when I went on this trip, but I couldn’t tell you for sure. I wrote a journal at the time, but I don’t know where it is anymore. My grandmother found all the pictures from the trip and gave them to me as a birthday present last year.
We went to the Grand Canyon, the Hoover Dam, a musical in Utah, a casino night at an RV convention, and a Wild West Show somewhere. We also played a lot of dominoes, put-put golf, and pool. I remember driving through Las Vegas, but we didn’t stop. We ate food at a casino once. It is still the only time I have ever been in a casino. I remember we had to walk through everyone gambling to make it through to the food.
My daughter just came downstairs demanding that I play with her, so I am going to have to go, but I will be back to write about these memories in more detail in the next couple of days.
