Day 4,308—Tired of the Snow—
My watch said I was getting fatigued at the end of this run, but what happened was I had to run through the snow on the route I was going, and it is not easy to run in the snow. I wondered as I was doing it if it would be easier just to walk. I liked that I had been the only human to run in that area since the snowfall, but I saw so many animal tracks.
Not so cold this morning, and a lot of snow has melted! This has put me in a much better mood. Even though I was so tired when I got out of bed this morning. Every section of the day, I am trying to hit a goal to complete something by a certain time, and no matter how hard I try, I cannot get to bed earlier than 10 p.m. Last night it was even later because of a few factors. There are still holiday lights up! I said I would keep track of it, and it is bizarre to me that we’re in February and people still haven’t taken their decorations down. What’s the deal people? My wife has already decorated for Valentine’s day.
I was thinking more about the push-up challenge I started this month, and I keep thinking that 5,000 push-ups seems like a better goal than 1,500. I did the math, and that would mean I would need to do around 179 push-ups a day, and I don’t know if that is going to happen this month. I know I can do a decent amount if I commit to doing them multiple times a day. Yesterday I did 100, and today my goal will be over 100. Maybe I won’t get to 5,000, but I think 2,500 is a reasonable goal. I do eventually get tired of doing push-ups, and my body does remain sore at times from day to day, so I will watch for that. So far I haven’t felt any real fatigue from doing push-ups. I would like to just get back to a place where I can easily do 50-100 in one set, which used to be so easy for me.
