Day 3,634 —4 Runs! Until the Ozark Foothills 100!—

         I just read the email for the race, and I have never seen this before, but it looks like the race director is charging those who cannot make it on Friday night to pick up their packet a $25 convenience fee. She also strongly encouraged everyone to not contact her for almost any reason. She is definitely a different kind of race director compared to my most recent races, but it takes a special kind of person to want to be in charge of these races. 

My dad was talking about one of the race directors not sleeping for days during the Shawnee Hill. I thought that was impressive, but I also thought, I don’t think any race director I have spoken to usually finds a way to sleep during a race. Most of them are usually up for just a long or longer than the racers. 

Today, I would like to at least start making a list of things I want to bring. I have a lot to do this week, so I desperately do not want to be rushed this week. I bought two cheap cameras yesterday to try to get more footage this time. They are clip-ons I can put on my vest and record. I don’t love recording a bunch of footage like that, but I want to try it. They both say they can record in night mode, so I thought it might be cool to have footage from the race at night.
