Day 4,006 —2 Days and 1 Runs until the Potawatomi 200: How I am going to Fit all this stuff in my car?—
I am going to have to clean my car to attempt to fit all this stuff in there! But I am more packed now than I have ever been before an ultra race. I got only a handful of things left to worry about. I ran on top of this wall because I could.
I felt better today. Even though, I got a little less sleep than usual. I was up kind of late and didn’t sleep in that much. I had to vote, and I was thinking about how awesome it is that my bellybutton although not healed completely, at least I am not dealing with the bacteria infection anymore, which had bothered me for almost a year.
Just when I thought that I took a deep breath, and I felt a sharp pain down there, but I kept looking at it, cleaning it, and it looked like it was healing okay. It is just a tough part of the body to have stitches in, with how much it naturally moves when you’re breathing. I was hoping that it would be completely healed by now, and it is not, but still better than it had been, and so happy I won’t have to worry about aggravating it as I am running this week. I could still irritate the stitches, but I won’t have to deal with the bacteria, which only I could feel. No one else was looking at my bellybutton regularly, but it felt like an alien was growing inside there, and I couldn’t do anything to stop, only slow down its growth.
