Day 4,013 —Doing the Math—
I am still planning to do a full race report and
video. I got a lot of footage, and I need to stop being distracted with
recovering the FIT file.
I recovered the data file from my watch, but every
time I tried to upload it manually, I got an error message. It makes sense that
it is corrupt because it updated on Garmin as the right distance but the wrong
map. I realized today that the elevation gain was right, so at least there is
that. I also know my average pace per lap because of the board, which kept
track of the lap time. I couldn’t figure out if I can change the elevation gain
for a manual activity on Strava, so I guess I will have to live with that, but
I am slowly becoming okay with not having the map and the data. I can also look
at the data for the route from the other runners, so it is not that big of a
loss.
It is so sad because it went dead less than 2 hours
before the end of the race, but I got to stop thinking about it. Unless Garmin
support knows how I might repair a corrupt FIT file or anyone else, I am open
to suggestions.
Today was a nice morning, and my legs felt fine. I
wasn’t even dealing with my knees being sore anymore. During the race and
yesterday, my right knee was swollen, but today they both look fine. The only
major problem is still not operating normally considering sleep, and I am
chaffed still, but otherwise feeling pretty normal.
