Day 4,199—6 Runs until the OT!—
I was groggy when I started running, having almost finished a book I had been listening to. The plan was to go to the BOO at the Zoo tonight, but it was cancelled because of the rain. This is the first time that it has rained that my basement has not flooded since the spring. I secretly wanted to stay home and watch just to make sure the flood wasn’t going to secretly appear when we weren’t paying attention.
I ran to Brentwood Park, and a lot of people were out, but it had already started to rain, and the dark clouds dominated the sky. I wonder if it will rain during the OT next weekend. For whatever reason, I suspect that it might. All of my runs so far have benefited from beautiful weather, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it rains for this one. I am looking forward to being on a trail in the fall and running towards my family. This will only be my 3rd point-to-point, and there is so much I need to research for the race. I don’t even have a GPS file yet, which is something I for sure want to have as backup. I also need to start packing, but right now I am enjoying this brief break and trying not to overwhelm myself with packing and writing my paper. I did start the paper on Thursday and did a little more yesterday, so I am making progress.
