Day 4,302—Happy Thursday!—
Watch this video of a bunch of deer that I saw in the street this morning! They were a little far from the park, so they must have gotten lost. You can hear me talking to them and telling them where to go to get back on the right track, but I don’t know if they will be able to follow my directions. I imagine they follow smells, and with the snow, there has been less to smell. There is a creek that runs through the area that they follow, so that’s what they were doing but the street they were on is a busy street and about a half mile from the park, so they have a little ways to go until safety but maybe with everyone driving slower because of the snow they will be okay but I always like seeing them. There are not many opportunities to see animals running free outside, so whenever I come upon a scene like this, it just makes me smile.
I am all discombobulated with the snow days. I had to actively think about what today is. I also keep thinking that January is over, but we still have a few more days left. I have come to realize increasingly that the school year will soon end, and it is now more than halfway over, with only a few full months left to go.
I have been thinking about race-related stuff, and I just want my leg to feel a hundred percent, but it is not there yet. At least I was able to run a little faster, and I am starting to understand better how to not agitate the injury, but I need to go back to doing things like leg lifts because that seemed to help.
The video is pretty much done! I watched it last night on my TV! I want to add a picture of my three Shippey buckles and go through the audio again to make sure the levels are correct, but that shouldn’t take me that long. I should be able to post it by the weekend at the latest.
